hello all,
New to the form and just recently bought a brand new left over 2017 fxdls this past fall . Currently all that has been done to it performence wise is a stage 1 kit ( 2 -1 Bassani road rage 2 ,a powervision tune , and the heavy breather kit that comes on it .My question is what kind of cams can I upgrade to without doing any gasket changes or changes to the heads or pistons I.e. compression changes .From what I am seeing these bikes with the 110 will put down some where between 90-95 hp and around 115 ft lbs with my current setup tuned. I would like to see a little over 100 hp and 120ft lbs + ? I know there are 9 million + topics on this already where people ramble on about how great the 117 kit is and compression changes, heads etc ..but I just do not have that kind of money . I want cams that can Be installed into a stock motor and give me the aforementioned numbers with a nice lope . Would like to put cams in before I dyno tune.
Thank you all.
Look at the cyclerama 570-2. Not saying you'll get the numbers you want. There are more important factors when picking a cam than the max number on a dyno sheet.
With having a lighter Dyna. I'll throw the rocket 574 cam in the mix. If you do decide to add headwork in later. This cam will grow with the upgrades nicely.
