Engine Mechanical TopicsDiscussion for motor builds, cams, head work, stripped bolts and other engine related issues. The good and the bad. If it goes round and around or up and down, post it here.
I don't pay any attention to posts like those that bustert or others put up that don't at least make an attempt to answer the OP.
If I was the OP, I would leave well enough alone, 100TQ at about 2300rpms peaking at 3350; what's not to like. Leave it alone until funds are available for head work then do both, heads and cam.
OP, I'm kinda with djl on this one. Not much to be gained with a cam swap. Looking at best, prob 110-113 Tq and 95-98 HP, with maybe a tiny bit gained under the curve. Seems spendy for minimal gains, unless you can do the work yourself and save some money.
rhuff as what i said in the original post im not looking to gain anything out of it just don't want to hurt my torque now the only reason i am doing this is for the sound. And yes i will be doing this my self.

Gotcha. I wouldn't touch it and tougher to get a loping sound with a 2-1 exhaust. I think the SE 204 is notorious for having a nice lope. The twinkie isn't really the best for that classic harley sound. You might be better off posting in the touring section or general chat.
