Default oil drain

I don't know if this is the right place on the forum, but he goes. I picked up a 92 1200 Sporty (barn find) sat for 5 years. While getting it tore apart I noticed that there was no drain hose to drain. I did see 2 bolts where the hose should be, anyone have any idea why someone would do that?

I think you should watch a YouTube video and buy a manual first. I had this same question in 1994.
