The SE Quick Install Tapered (PN 18404-08) referenced in the OP have 5/16" x 24tpi jam nuts. When introduced a few years back, there were issues with poor quality jamb nuts that would hairline crack when tightened and loosen after a few miles. The MoCo seems to have solved the problem and I still run them in one of my bikes which make 110HP/124TQ; no issues since installation about 25K miles ago.
I busted a nut last October
and it was a new production set
so problem still hasnt been resolved
I installed Quickies instead because thats what I had

How do you know it was a new production set? All I can say is that I have had no issues with the set I am running in one of my bikes and they have been R/Rd several times. I will continue to use them but that's why there are alternatives.

Ill have to try to find the package but I swear there was a date on it
I could be wrong for sure
I do Like the Quickies better once I tried them but thats my personal opinion

well ordered them and they are not the right ones
12 bucks down the drain
Upon seeing this I went back out to the garage & remeasured mine.... 3/8-24
When I measured mine the first time it was through the zip loc bag I had them in.... I didn't realize the threaded part had FOUR flats on it & I was measuring across the flats.
Soooo.... I own this. PM me your name & shipping address & I'll send you the nuts off of mine. Or, I'll PayPal you the $12, your choice.
My sincere apologies for the trouble.
John
