Hi just had new SS 110 kit put on, heads done by Dave Mackie compression set 10.7. Im noticing after the bike gets hot it starts feeling sluggish and not as responsive. Coming out first gear is choppy if that would be a correct way to put it. can someone tell me if its running lean or what would be causing this?
Check for sumping. Classic symptoms are quick to heat/over heat and sluggish performance. Sumping is caused by improper oil pump alignment and/or poor sealing between the pump "spigot" and the crank case scavenge port. Check by carefully removing the case plug on the right side case bottom to see how much oil comes out. If more than 4-6 ounces, the motor is sumping. The fix is to pull the cam plate, follow the service manual procedure for oil pump alignment (there are alignment pins that some use) and/or replace the seal at the scavenge port. There could be another issue but what is described are classic sumping symptoms and a logical place to start searching for the solution.

Ok thanks I will check this out. Yea, my buddy was on a 107 stock bike and he took me off the line. I was really pressing on it and bike didnt feel as responsive as I thought it would.
how easy is it to damage top end? Ive been riding some and just want to make sure i do permanent damage
pretty easy. overheating is the hardest thing on a new top end,you asked these same questions on the other forum and I suggested there to get it tuned correctly, theres nothing wrong with a PV,no need to go with a TTS.problem is with the guy tuning it
