That isn't really accurate any more. The goldwings are built here. I prefer metric. Kind of covers it all.
I can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet. But along with all the other things so far, overhead cams play a good role in this as well. it really isn't one thing though. it is overall design.
And it isn't all HD fault. It is more our fault. Every time they try to do something even remotely innovative the hardcore purists crucify them for it. I remember when the announcement for the vrod came out. Some people reacted in such a way that you would have thought someone threatened the lives of their children.
Another example, the Street line. Wasn't intended for us but there was still crying. People hate the livewire and it isn't even out yet.
