I have installed rocker lockers and still have the clatter/tapping sound? Sounds high on the front jug but hard to pinpoint, Not sure where to look next.
Well, at least you have eliminated rocker shaft rotation as the source of the noise. More information might help, i.e., what push rods, any modifications, most recent modifications, what cams, etc.
No other modifications, This is my 2014 Tri Glide the Bride and I ride on, the Fatboy is the one I have spent the money on performance upgrades. This Tapping/Clatter driving me nuts, wondering if it could be exhaust leak but don't see anything around the head.
I just got back from riding the ozarks, Discovered a little oil leaking out of rocker box, perfect time to do rocker lockers. I so all work on both my biked but let Harley do the internals. They called the other day and said I have good and bad news, good news we are done and bad we ran it into the wall and will take 6-8 weeks to get it fixed, I am suppose to ride to Sturgis in a few weeks. Unfortunately can't find a good old mechanic, out of three dealerships, got 3 different answers the best being Just turn up your radio!! Any answers welcome. but the Mechanics said they don't think lifters??
Your wasting our time.
You first said you installed the rocker lockers then you say now is a good time to install the rocker lockers which one is it? You said you do all the work on both bikes but then you say Harley does all the internals. Now we are to believe someone rode your bike into a wall? Seems like you’re incoherent or just full of it, go sell crazy somewhere else
