As far as the stock exhaust valve size.. it depends really. It's big enough for more than you might think. Especially with cams like his with more exhaust duration.
Sure wouldn't want too big of one either and I'm only running a 1.615 with 1.940 intakes but even if I went 2.0 intakes the exhaust would stay at 1.615.

Got my s&s 570 ,now to find pistons (103?) . Aim for 10,5 comp. 1,9 intake valves .
When i did cam change this aug. i didn`t remove gas tank . Is it necessary to remove it when doing heads and cylinders ? Anything els i should when i`m in there ?
Any guides that show how to remove TB ?

I'd bet with that flow chart, 1.72 rockers would help with that 570 cam.. I'd do a throttle body as the heads support the flow. I'd also do 107 (4.937 bore) and set the CR at 10.5 to 1. Maybe WFO Larry can comment?
