So to remove the necessary metal to smooth the jagged edge, the bottom edge will no longer be level in those two areas by clearance cuts. They will show removal as I tried to illustrate below. Is that ok? Note I'm still waiting to hear from FuelMoto on what they want to do.
The line is the level of the base of the cylinder, showing what will be removed
That scallop is needed to clear the other spigot.
Insure you are free of any burrs and proceed with the assembly.

Used a jewelers file pulling to the outside, and 320 followed by some 600 just to smooth it out. Took all the sharps and jags off. Sent to Jamie who gave the thumbs up. Going on today. Thanks for everyone's input.
You want to have a burr free edge on the inside but don't get carried away. Too much of a rounded edge creates a "pocket" that debris can sit in.

Not sure what you are trying to say here. Could you explain better? Rounded to the point where there is a divot on the cylinder?

No, not like a divot. Imagine a section view of the cylinder, with the section line going vertically right through the middle of that feature. Put a .005 radius on that sharp edge & see what the section profile looks like, then do the same with a .050 radius. The larger you go the more of an area you have for debris to sit in on the piston side... almost like a funnel leading into the cylinder. True it's upside down but I think the smaller the radius the better.

If you have stuff that is large enough to trap 0.050 radius, you'll have stuff that that will be trapped by 0.005 radius also and the motor is blown. Still I like to break the edges. Burrs are what can break loose and go through the motor.
