You can buy a set of shims like in the link above, or better yet, after new cam bearing is installed, you dry fit the new cam and install the cam chest cover with a gasket, and measure the free play using feeler gauges. It will tell you what thickness of shim you need to get. The factory manual shows you this procedure, and lists the spec. I think the spec is really wide (.001 to .050) but you want around .010 to .015 range in end play.

Can 9.8 CR be achieved with head gaskets?
A domed piston will be required.

Just got in from a shake down ride,running really well.Dropped the oil,so tomorrow it gets new filter,oil and plugs.Thankyou for the input.

For comparison's sake, my brother's running the EV13 in his FXRS...I was very concerned when his "Harley Guy" recommended an EV46 as a drop-in cam, but I was able to steer him towards the EV13 and a 2-1 exhaust. He rides 50% 2-up and doesn't rev it out, ever. The cam, exhaust, and tuning provided a very nice seat of the pants bump in power. Here's the dyno graph:
