Default M8 Head Bolt Re-Torque

Who knows whether the head bolts on a 114 M8 rebuild get re-torqued after warm ups like we use to.
With the new gaskets and who knows what else, there seems to not be one answer.
The service manual does not indicate to re-torque. (or not to)
Seems foreign to me to NOT re-torque.

I would have to assume that if it's not specifically called out to do in the service manual, it's probably not required.

I'll let someone with more knowledge chime in though...

I've never retorqued head bolts period. M8 or otherwise.

Modern HD engines (starting with the Evo) have much longer head bolts than the shovelheads and older. This is a significant improvement as the length makes it easier to get a good 'stretch' on them so they are not prone to needing a re-torque like the old British bike and HD's. The shop manuals for Evos and Twin Cams do not call for re-torquing your heads, just like the M8's.

Follow the torque sequence in the service manual, no re-torquing is necessary. Do not reuse the head bolts on the M8 engine

Thanks to all.
Yep no re-torque required.
I swore I wouldn't or have to work on the new M8
Well that's out the window.
