Default porting twin cooled heads

I've got a 2014 ultra limited and am going to get head work done. going to end up with 107 jugs, fueling reaper 174 cams, big air breather, Jackpot header with V&H 4" pipes, and a thunder max tuner. I ride Mostly highways

Just wondering who out there likes Fuel moto head porting?

and what comp. pistons I should go for ?

What C/R do the 174 ( 574 ? ) cams call for ?

Any chance you have a typo and are referring to Reaper 574 cams? If yes, then a bump in compression has benefits. But as I often like to point out, pump gas has it's limitations when it comes to increased compression.

Lots of really good head builders out there, FuelMoto is one of them, along with Hillside, Dave Mackie

thanks,
Paul

No problem, I'm well known for that too. It just happens.

A bump in compression to 10.2-10.5 and head work would help a lot. I recommend checking deck height when assembling, and using a head gasket that provides optimum squish. With the stock compression you are leaving some on the table, and will likely see a slightly sluggish throttle response from idle to about 2500 rpms when the cam comes on. A bump in compression and a good exhaust could help with that, although at the highway speeds, roll on throttle will be nice.

One other thought, at .574 lift, you are getting close to needing roller rocker arms. I suggest asking your builder if they recommend that.

good luck,
Paul

We do a lot of water cooled heads.pretty much the same as regular heads except you need to be more careful around the exhaust side.im not sure who's doing fuel moto headwork but I would hope they know this

Thanks Paul.
I'm putting on 107 jugs so i'll get what ever pistons I need to run 92 Octaine . with the ported heads.

Thanks Prodrag.
I'm in central Canada and I've read a lot of good things about Fuelmoto. And their probably the closest head porter to me. trying to save a couple $$ in shipping. Canadian Doller sucks.
