head and base gasket prep
I have resurfaced my head and cylinder because of a blown head gasket and getting ready to re-assemble my rear jug onto my 82 shovel. I purchased an OEM head gasket and base gasket and just wondering if either or both need any gasket sealer or is it better without?

Nothing on them. I'd recomend using Cometic MLS gaskets tho. Unless you have a true, OEM abbesto's head gasket but those a rarer then hens teeth. Post up a picture of said OEM gaskets.
