Threads stripped rear engine mount to frame. XR
Dear Forum
Has anybody been down this road. Reassembling my basket case 1975 XR when I found that the upper 2 threads in the frame are stripped.
They are looking like 3/8" 24 TPI. Maybe the same as a Sportster? Any advice appreciated.

Yes I did..............a 3/8 x 24 TPI tap doesn't even touch what is left of the threads. I'm thinkin..........either ream to 7/16 and tap to 24TPI or this more advanced helicoil.
