You have run it in like a self tap. I just lube the screw a bit and walk it in/out til it seats. It will but takes a bit of hard twisting then its good to go.

No **** hard ya think! Would it be better to just tap it further. Damn, I'm leary it would snap but I'll take your word for it. I'll clean loctite out of the threads better first. Thank ya Sir.

Ya clean out first, work it slow. Assume theres only few screw threads left?
No. There's more than that. It's a strong 1/8". It's out there a ways. 4 threads. Thing is, almost the first 1/8 the threads are gone and looking at it from the end its concave slightly. like a little divet in the center. What about maybe cutting that first 1/8" off? Be real close then.
Or using a washer or two with just big enough center holes to clear the small end of the spacer or whatever it's called the screw slides in but doesn't come out of.
Just got off the phone with HPI. He Said it's weird but sometimes two identical bikes will have different length screws here. Gotta cut it down.
If it was just the threads not being deep enough Dave's thing would work, but it's bottomed out.
