UPDATE: I replaced my stock battery cables with Sumax 2 gauge cables. I did not see anything wrong with the stock cables nor did I see any evidence of loctite.
RESULT: the bike fires RIGHT up. I've never seen it start this well, even stock. Even with a crankcase full of oil the starter didn't struggle one bit. It was sitting for about a week and I couldn't start it before swapping cables. Thank you for everyone's suggestions!!!
