I called JE-Pistons. They said one usually uses a screwdriver. Being encouraged by the words of the manufacturer, using this tool, I finally succeded in getting the two first wrist pin circlips in place.

Yes I too managed to get the CP clips in with a screw driver but after I searched locally for a tool. It takes some special care to get it in there, good job.
You know those are not coming out on there own.

You guys hating on the spiral clips is funny, besides teflon buttons spirals are the only ones I'll use on the older bikes. They don't pop out like the snap ring type will when the rods get a little play or the owner hotrods it heavy.
They are silly easy to install once you know the tricks.
I hear you, if you want agro , try the flathead type without the proper tool
You mean this guy? I'm missing the sleeve. it's around here someplace..
Spirolock are fine. Standard ones used to be easy with stubby needle nose but my hands aren't as strong and wrists don't twist as much as they used to.. This is a pair of snap-on ones that the tips broke off. Snap-On unfortunately doesn't make them anymore or at least that is what the dealer said. I ground 2 small notches to grab the ID of the clip...

Yeah, CP and JE clips are the thicker ones. They c a n be installed with a screwdriver, but it is not easy if you have not done it before. CP and JE should include a tool, I think.
