Can't seem to get my 03 wide glide to turn over. I cleaned and tighten the battery connections ,replaced the starter coil and spark plugs. It's got power and sounds like it's about to turn over but won't. I just replaced the starter about a month ago. I was riding it 2 weeks ago and as I slowed pulling up to a stop sign it just started to cut out then died . I had power the intire time just wouldn't turn back over. Has anyone got an idea of what could be the issue ? Please 🙏 anyone.! Thanks.

Still could be a battery issue. Not enough details on it since you are saying it won't crank over to even attempt to run . I think anyway. When you hit the crank button, what do you hear?
You have a AC/DC/OHM meter? You need 12.6 volts to begin with. (It can be 12.5 to 12.7). When you hit crank start button, it should not drop below 9.8 when it is cranking.
You post got moved since it was in welcome area. As a suggestion, make another new post back over in the new member welcome area to say hello.
Just in case.. Welcome to the HDForums and hope

First thank you all for responding it's much appreciated. But I had the battery tested and it's all good there . The bike is cranking it's just won't start. It like it wants to but cant. I figured it had to be a issue with spark or fuel . I found the coil was bad and replaced it and it was time for new plugs so I replaced those too. Battery cables are good but I'll clean the connections again today and check the wires in the dash for any issues. It's just been so odd that it won't start and the way it die on me like it was out of gas but I had a full tank. It hasn't started back up since that day . If any one has any more ideas please let me know . Again thank you anyone .
Please confirm:
You have confirmed that battery has been load tested and tested well.
The starter turns/cranks strong with plenty of strength.
You state: " found the coil was bad and replaced it and it was time for new plugs so I replaced those too"
How did you find out that coil was bad? How did you confirm that new coil was good?
Do you have spark at plug?
What does inside of tank look like? Do you have garbage in the tank?
Is that a carb or fuel injected bike? If fuel injected do you hear the fuel pump?
I pulled the coil and took it to a local shop for testing . Got a new one from that shop .smart guy he tested it before I left . I grabbed 2 new plugs and installed all three items at the same time . Still cranks but not starting . The engine is and 88ci carburetor not fuel injected. I checked the tank no x girlfriend issue so nothings been poor in there . Is it worth pulling the primary cover and check the compensator nut and stater . I have been told if the nut is loose or the stater is out it can cause this problem. Not sure how solid that advice is tho . I was about to pull the fuel line at the card to make sure I have a solid flow as the last gas tank check . Do you think it's nessasary ? Feels like I'm shooting blind on this one . Please advise .
