Unless he's using fueling short travel lifters. He doesn't say which ones
If full travel then yes 4-1/2 turns should get them as quiet as they're going to get. That's my experience with the 9b and s&s pushrods
precisely.. I have a lot of experience with Woods cams.. Fast ramps require more preload.. At 19 flats your only at .098" preload, .140" (27 flats) is the go to for Woods cams just make sure you have .200" travel lifters and not short travel like tdrglide said..

They are full travel Fueling lifters. Awesome sauce, thank you!
I'd put limiters in the lifters.. Other wise, run pushrod 1 -2 turns tighter until they don't come loose. Back of the pushrod until it loosens enough to turn and go 1/4 turn more. Lock it down..
Finally got this twin cam Tman 124 built had have done a couple idle runs and am a bit concerned with the valve train noise. I used Wood TW9-BG-7 so expected some but would like input from anyone familair with Wood cams. See video link below please, thanks..
Tman 124 Pro Touring kit
Wood TW9-BG-7 cams
Fueling lifters - (I put 19 flats on the S&S pushrods at TDC)
S&S adjustable pushrods, roller rockers, chain drive cam plate and oil pump
Vulcan Engineering billet rocker support plates
