Default pushrod center.

I have 2 sets of pushrods. Harley SE, and S&S quickies. The hollow of the pushrod on the SE is a bigger diameter than the S&S. Does that or will that make a difference? Has anyone ever experienced a pushrod hollow being blocked by debris of some kind?

I'd be happy to run either brand. Doubtful the small difference in the hole diameter is going to make a difference. I can't imagine anything big enough to clog a pushrod would make it through the lifters. Never heard of a pushrod getting clogged up...that would have to be some seriously dirty oil for a long time.

I just changed out my old tired S&S Lifters and Quickie Pushrods a few weeks ago and went with the SE Tapered Pushrods just for the bore diameter of the SE's. Went with Johnson Hylift Lifters just because they come hy-ly recommended...... this setup is a lot quieter then what I pulled out, but in all fairness, the S&S set up had 70k miles on them, sooooooo..........

It is worthwhile to blow air through any pushrod when it's brand new before installing. Someone posted here that they did that and blew out a small bit of packing material of some sort.
