Just did a Chris Rivas rocket 464 cam on my 2021 m8 street bob and it’s loud af! Before I just had a thrashin AR two into one pipe and a tune and I loved the tone but it definitely sounded on the mellow side. This cam woke that pipe right up and now it sounds like a demon. Angry.
Since this is the first time I’ve ridden any bike with a cam upgrade, I have nothing to compare it to. So I’m wondering if this is an aggressive cam or if other popular cams I hear about such as star racing, s and s, woods, feuling, etc… would be just as loud/aggressive?
The idle is at least 3 times louder and when you get on the throttle the thing screams. Its honestly a bit much and the tone has gone to more of a higher pitch yell where before is was a lower gruntier sound which I liked.
I’m sure I’ll get used to it the more I ride it and I am definitely enjoying the increase in power. Interested to hear from anyone that has experience with this specific cam.
If the motor has been tuned after cam install, post the dyno sheet. If the motor has not been dyno tuned, get it dyno tuned and then post the sheet. The dyno sheet is the only way to compare that cam with the other oftermarket options.
It’s louder because it opens the exhaust valves a lot earlier in the cycle, the extra noise is torque going out the pipe instead of pushing on the pistons

I know this is an older thread, but has anyone done a dyno tune with the Rivas Rocket 464?
I am looking at this cam pretty hard for stage 2 build on my 19 FLHTP with a 114, Sidewinder 2-1 and Big Sucker.
