If you are simply talking about the slight whine as the motor returns to idle. Don't worry about it.. It's counter balancer gears. The softails have it worse since they have 2 counter balancers.
No it the sharp noise as I throttle up. I came from a Honda bike where the noise was crazy.
I guess the best way that I can describe it is if you were to tap the heat shield with a wrench but not having the long ring to it. In the first clip it's the second rip on the throttle that you can hear the sharp noise

Well I'd say it either a head/compression release leak or possibly a timing issue and it's pinging. I guess you could try some octane booster to see if it goes away. What is the history on the bike? I see the SS braded line which I don't think is stock.. Bad tune?

Well when I got it a few weeks back it had 3,000 miles on it. The older guy traded it in for a side by side. Was the OG owner.
So before I rode today I checked the exhaust connections and tightened them down a bit. They weren't super loose. Started rides and thought maybe HARLEY-CLAUSE came but it was short lived and wasn't the issue.
I do have the tuner that was used when the pipes and air intake was done so maybe need to give her a tune again
17's had a habit of popping the rear head gasket under the exhaust port, you didn't hear it but oil spot's on the trans cover was the give away.

Well I know it's been a little bit since I posted here but I finally got it into the shop to have a tech look things over. After several hours of looking at it the tech feels that it is most likely due to low octane gas. They are gonna change the oil and see maybe if it also might be a cause of the noise but he feels that it's the gas!
So my next tank I will go high octane and see what happens. Thanks again for all your advice!
Interesting. I just came across this thread... I started to have this same noise on my 2017 after I changed the mufflers out to more free-flowing mufflers (from screamin eagle street cannons to Cobra Neighbor Haters). I chalk it up to a tuning issue on my bike since I did not adjust the tune after the change. I bought a tuner (have not installed yet) and hope that relieves the issue.
I have 2 weeks left on my 7-year warranty... Really hoping I can find a head gasket leak if it is one before the warranty is up. I've had both head gaskets fail at around 20k miles (never had this noise). It's almost 20k since then.

Yeah right now I have 5200 miles on the bike. I know that it did a lot of sitting with the prior owner, I was thinking that it might have something to do with the oil pressure at idle RPM but we shall see after the oil change along with putting higher octane gas in it.

Fingers crossed that you get it figured out
I do also run 87 most of the time. I'm pretty sure mine is tune related. But I may be going around the bike with one of the long stick lighters later checking for air leaks
My sound is identical to yours and under the same conditions too
