What pistons? I had to open up the valve relief on the intake side just to clear a 1.94 on an OE piston
JE Pistons, same as Wiseco and made by the same company, Performance Motors. I'll look into the valve relief out of curiosity but he's used this combo before.
So, for what it's worth, the valve sizes are as follows.....
Intake- 2.020"
Exhaust- 1.650"
Heads and jugs are headed to the machinist tomorrow morning. I'll start tearing the old cams out after dropping those parts off. Still waiting on a little more info to finish the cam choice decision at the moment...........
Then it's time to go through the whole tranny for evaluation.
You are going to those valve sixes on a mild 107 build? Seems like overkill to me..
Make sure to check valve to valve.. Stock heads modded to hold those valves? They'd have to be sunk pretty deep..

My advice is to slam on the brakes and find someone who knows what theyre doing, youre making bad decisions

Hitting "Pause" and rethinking.......... need to chat with him today, I guess.
The guy is a local machinist at a long standing performance shop that has done quite a few Harleys, including all of his own. He's done a lot of machine work for a local HD dealership over the years, but yeah, when Harley_ish brought up the double humpers, it kinda sat funny in my gut. Seems more automotive than V-Twin. He's a friend and doing all the machine work for me free wanting to help me out, that's attractive.
Now, I have the bike all tore apart and wondering which way to go. Should I reroute and just go with a store bought 110" kit from HD, S&S, Fuel Moto, someone else. Hate to go that route and ask this guy to borrow all his HD Speciality tools from him............
For what youre wanting it to do, 2-up and more interested in lower-midrange torque than horsepower up top
replace the crank, its due at 135k
1.9 intake valve, stock exhaust valves
fresh stock valve springs
Keith black super duty 107 flat tops
set compression for the chosen cam
cvo mufflers with fullsac 1.75 cores and sleeves
skip the large throttle body

Yes, both made here in Ohio. Never had an issue with either one. Usually the valve reliefs on aftermarket pistons will clear a decent size valve.
Who is doing the heads again? Same guy that's boring the cylinders?

Holy ****! My valves aren't that big and it's a max effort 107 build!
you can't just use random sized valves and expect good results.

Who told you to do that?
i would stick with the TTS150 @ 10,5:1 compression. Plenty of low end torque for 2 up in the twisties and it will pull to redline.
Since youre porting the heads, I suggest the HPI 55/58 max flow TB with those 5.3 injectors.
