Engine break-in insight
Haven't been able to get break-in miles on her or get her to my tuner to get the break-in done on the dyno and tuned. Between having to be out of town for work, weather conditions here in Memphis, and all the churn going on in the Federal government, I haven't had any opportunities. I'm hoping to get break-in miles done before the end of the month when I leave town for work for 3 weeks in March. If not, I'm just going to go ahead and get her broken in and tuned at my Tuner the 2nd week in April.
And many thanks for all your insight and the assist with my map. The AFR's during the heat cycles were spot on after the adjustments you made to my map!!
I can't express the extent of my appreciation for the recommendation to contact David. I emailed him last night at 1830 and he replied about an hour later and set up a phone call for today.
David called at 1000 and we discussed the build at.length. The short answer, for those following the thread is: YES, go ahead andnheat cycle the engine, up to 4-5 times, to ensure the build is solid and no issues which would preclude getting it tuned. He said I was fine to run with the initial map provided by FM for the build for the heat cycles, after I loaded the map in WinPV and gave David some of the values.
David is one hell of a stand-up guy and look forward to meeting him when I trailer her the 2.5 hours to get the tune and dyno runs done.

We have been very pleased with the work he had done on some of our bikes.
