Has anyone used the Comp Cam TC-4102 cams in twin cam 110 big bore kit with 10.5 comp? What is or was your experience with them. I have been thinking of running the TW-777 or the TW-888 but have recently found these cams and the look promising. Just not sure of how well they will work with 10.5 comp. I would like some real time reviews.
I tried finding the complete cam specs and could not. Without all the info it's hard to say but with all the duration posted I would say it would hit later than the 777 or 888..
Ok, thank you for taking the time and looking into this. I as well can't find any other information on them or find anyone actually running them. I do like the 777 and 888 however I'm not sure if will be happy with the 3000 and up RPMs . I am currently running the tw-222 on a 103 with stock valves but ported heads. Which give me power from 2200 and it's great. Have also been looking at the t-man cam 590-2 . I will be building up to a big bore 110 with 87cc chambers, Oversize Stainless 7mm 1.875" Intake 1.575 Exhaust valves, and .590 HiLift springs) .30 head gasket, 10.5.1CR, 58mm Throttle Body, with 5.3 injectors, RTX 2-1 full length exhaust.
I originally was going with the TW-999-6A, but I think it will not fit my riding style due toni do a lot of city riding between 2500-4800 in most cases "it is my daily ride on most days" when I go on long trips I cruise at 85-90 at 3200-3500.
I am always looking for more information from others with real world experience and knowledge so I can make a more educated decision and only don't one time, at the same time keep reliability.
I am riding a 2016 RGS in TX
Not the 4102 but I have the 3103 in my bike. 10.5:1 107, ported heads, 50mm tb, 2 into 2. Made 118/124 SAE. Broad power, midrange is bitchin, super smooth all around. No frills, budget build where all parts used were intentional. Wasn’t building my typical hot rod. 777, 590PS etc are nice options too. All 3 cams were ones I considered
I've been running the 888's in my 110" build for at least a year now.. They hit very well down low and carry all the way to 6k. I have head work and comp is set to 11.16:1.. My ccp is 213 psi. It has pulled the front wheel grabbing 3rd gear. It's very fast.. What tuner are you using. i have a PV2-b with Target Tune. Watch your timing..
edited. don't go less than 1.90" on the intake and a 1.61 on the exhaust. KPMI makes the valves and seats.
