Default 2010 Tranny shift arm

Just wondering. Prior to 09 it was said the rear shift arm replacement meant removing inner primary. After which there was an indent machined into the inner primary case. I can feel the indent but am unsure if the shift arm can be removed and a new one replaced without still removing inner primary. I don’t want to attempt it until I know for sure. It doesn’t appear like there is enough space but ….
Anyone confirm or deny?
mines a 2010.

On a 2010, the indent in the inner primary allows the rear shift arm to be replaced without removing the inner primary. You should be able to remove and replace it directly. Just ensure the bike is stable and you have proper access.
