Default Twin cam crank limit

What is the consensus on the limit that these stock cranks can handle.? I am about to ship my parts out for a 113 cvo with heads and woods cams 408-6 I am worried that my crank with 2 thou runout will scissor with. 130+ tq. Should I run the kit and let it be or go from the bottom up crank etc….

I'm running SE-255 cams in my 105" 10.5:1 2007 Dyna. Did the 105 at 100,000 miles with 2 thou runout. My 07 was bought in Oct 2006 making it a very early 07, so had one of the good cranks. We have similar cams, yours with more lift. Just don't go crazy with yer redline shift points.

It's not the HP that will scissor it as much as lugging it. If you want it as bulletproof as possible just send it to Darkhorse. John and the crew are great.

Ed is correct.. It's the low end power, Hole shots.. On my 110" build I was making very good power.. These wheel sets can take more than they used to early on.. I pushed my build pretty hard especially at the track and never an issue.. I always had .0055" of runout on the pinion and since I installed the S&S tc3 pump and cam plate and pinion run out actually went down.. I believe cam plates with bronze bushing are better than any other.. The sheet below was done 2 days before I ran it at the track in Cicero NY.. One thing I will advise is to use loctite on all rocker assembly bolts and properly torque.. I just brought my 117" build home yesterday from Hillside Motorcycle and Machine and will be assembling it shortly.. I did install an S&S set of wheels this time.. I'm expecting 135/135+.. Cheap insurance.. Depending on how you ride will determine longevity.. I believe stock wheels can handle 125-130 lbs. of torque without issue..
