Angry I hate HALOMAR

Bolted together a lot of cases with RTV and #2 Permatex and never, ever had a leak. After losing 2 weeks of nice weather rebuilding mine on the kitchen table and taking the advice of an amatuer, I tried Halomar - "gasket dressing and flange sealant" yea, right... (my own fault, should have stuck with what works for sure)

First, at 500 miles, the front bottom thru stud was leaking. No biggie, put copper washers on the nuts - problem solved. NOW, it's pouring out the upper rear stud as well as seeping from the seams front and back

Yes, of course I torqued everything and used enough to squeeze out everywhere and make a mess.

All Halomar is good for is sticking a gasket.. and I can do that with cheap grease.

NEVER USE HALOMAR
NEVER USE HALOMAR
NEVER USE HALOMAR
