What is the proper adjustment on HD install on 96 motor? I installed with TW6-6 Cams @ 2.5 turns. I hear a little ticking??

Wonder if I should have went 3.5 turns??

I have the same cams on a 96, using the SE pushrods and adjusted 3 turns.

 

I have 3.5 turns on mine with Andrews 26H... ticks a tad but for most part is quiet...

 

If you are using the SE adjustable push rods, two and a half turns is not enough for most lifters.

I would adjust them three and a half turns and check for noise.

With some lifters, I've found you can adjust most noise out but you might need to adjust one or two lifters a half turn more than the other two.
