Default Starter removal 94 FXLR

Need to remove my starter on my 94 FXLR i think from what i've read is that i need to remove my primary clutch plate and drain oil, the take the bolt out of the jack shaft. Then i can take the starter bolts out and remove starter from right side of bike may have to loosen main oil tank in order to get starter out. Does this sound correct? One question will the jack bolt take a certain wrench/socket to get it off and also there was something about putting a new lock washer on the jack bolt and for sure get new tower gaskets. Does this sound right? My starter will spin but not engage may be the solinoid not kicking starter in.

If the starter is spinning, then the solenoid is working.

If the stater motor spins but the engine does not, the starter clutch is most likely the problem.

Remove outer primary cover, remove jackshaft bolt, starter mount bolts and wires and the starter is ready to come out.
