Default engine upgrade advice

Greetings, I am brand new to this forum I already posted in the wrong spot so here we go a second time. I have a 00 fxst I am upgrading from 88 to 95 with SE pro stage 2. My 2 queations are 1 I want get rid of the old tensioner set up, now not sure to go with the hydraulic or go full on gear driven cam? I dont care about the "whine" present with the gear driven I am looking for full on performance. 2 what else should I do to this motor it has 31, 000 on it and well I essentially want to rebuild it. I do all my own wrenching. Just a side note

The 2000 has a good crank so run out shouldnt be an issue for going to gears. Hyd set up is pretty much trouble free for 100k if the inner chain is converted. With the hyd upgrade you get a better oil pump too. Cams is going to take some research and you will have to discribe your riding style and what you want out of your bike. I think going either way will cost you a grand. The cheep alternitave is polishing your Morris chain and replacing the pads with the Cyco pads. The pad kit is under $100. Add cams to that and you wont break the bank and plenty of $$$ to spend on a oil pump, lifters, adjustable push rods, cams, and a good tuner if you have FI.

You can go to 98" if you want.
Set up properly, you could realize 120 hp.
