Backfire problem
I have an 06 springer that has began backfiring and sputtering. It only does this after warming up and riding a bit. The problem has progressively gotten so bad i can't ride it. Hd dealer had me change the plugs air filter and fuel filter. Still no good. Anyone out there have any suggestions???

Backfire is usually a symptom of a lean condition. Check your intake connection at the cylinder head by spraying some WD40 at the seals while idling; if idle speed is affected, seals may need replacing or fasteners may be loose.
Check exhaust manifold fasteners. If one of those comes loose, she will back fire.
Check muffler to head pipe connection; if loose this will cause back fire.
Could be a bad tank of gas.
Those are the first things the dealer tech should have checked.
