Default Problems after cam install

My ride is a 06 Ultra 88ci with Vance and Hines Tru Duals and SE 203 cams,
Just had the time to install my cams. During the install I discovered the bike had a previously installed power commander so I looked up a map as close to what I have and tried to load it because of a miss at 3000 rpm. The power commander would not communicate with two different computers so I swapped it out with a fuel pak I purchased and used the map from them. Still have this nasty miss at the same rpm, called Vance and Hines back we modified the MAP and now the miss has moved from 2500 to 3500. Checked valve adj, changed spark plugs and tried it again same results. Going to get another MAP Any other ideas?
First time I did twin cams pretty sure they are timed or it wouldn't run would it?
After this next MAP change I guess the next step is to open it up again and verify the cams unless anyone has some ideas.

If it runs OK except for the miss, it's probably not in the cam chest. Sounds more like a fuel or electrical issue (spark or timing).

Put the PC back on and have the motor tuned; you can mess the maps forever and never get it right.

It runs but you can feel and hear a significant difference in the exhaust flow between the two cylinders.

If you have the cams a tooth off, the bike will run, not good but it will start and run. Easiest way to check that condition is by compression. If cam timing is off, you don't have to pull the cam chest apart to check; check compression first. If cam timing is off, you will see a significant difference in compression from one cylinder to the other.

Check the cam timing as outlined by DJL. Then... quit buying crap like fuel packs. What is needed is TIMING adjustments, etc. You, (you don't know this.... yet) want a Flash tuner that one can either have a shop tune for you, or do it DIY.

The best option would be to convert your bike over to one that uses O2 sensors, and then you could use a device like TTS to dial the tune in better. Any bike 05up can be converted over for a few hundred dollars. The 'how-to-do is in the back of the TTS Tuning Guide Appendix A. One could call Dynojet and ask if the PV will support an 05/06 bike (that has been converted to O2 operation) and see if the PV would work.

If so? Either would be the best course of action for you.

Find a good tuner and get it dynoed,Its that simple, if your timing marks are right
