No shim is warranted/needed with the 2006 Dyna's, and/or all 2007 models-up.
You should not have any valve train noises with that hyd. cam chain set-up??
Scott
I thought all the noise was from the front, so I removed the rocker boxes and clearanced ANYWHERE I thought there was even a chance of anything rubbing...around pushrod holes, any webbing on rocker covers, around valve springs, etc.
I even took the rocker arm supports and swapped from head to head, used alignment bolts to align lower boxes and pulled rocker arm supports close to the pushrods before torquing down.
I hogged out the pushrod tube end.
I changed from Mobile 1 synthetic 20/50 to a dino oil 20/50 and even added Lucas oil treatment..still noise when it gets warmed up.
My brother's bike sounds as quiet after his big bore and cams and i didn't do any of this to his.

I'm running andrews 21 cam with 95inch 9.3.1compression with ported polished heads she runs strong! 0-60 is snappy 2000-3000 is where the magic happens.. It makes power everywhere but 2000 to 3000 it just pulls u like a freight train. I mean it's all low end... But she pulls great up to 5200...I got a friend with a 37 cam and that cams strong but with the 21 racing me 0-60 good luck... Mpg is around 40...but no joke I can be in 5th gear at 35mpr and 1500 rpms and the moter will not even lug u tap the gas and with no effort she will pull in 5th at 1500 rpms... I don't recommend riding like that but she will handle whatever u toss at it
Riding into work tonight bike ran strong with cooler air temp.
Bike pulls hard...I may be selling it short on the low end as it may just seem a little soft at lower rpms compared to how hard it hits. Love the way it pops the front end up when I powershift...IF I can get the traction!
I budgeted $500 to throw at the bike.
Its either go to Tw6-6s or try to get some headwork and leave the 37s in.
My curiosity has me wanting to do cams to see if that helps the noise and give me the powern im after...afraid to get too high compression wise.
Harley seems to be shy on there numbers I believe there kits are less then they say.. I would bet there 10.25 kit is more like 9.9.1... The few shops i talked to say there numbers are off.. The andrews 37 loves 9.8- 9.9 that's right where u are... Maybe it's just best to leave it alone... The woods tw6 is great cam but I doubt u will say much change if u stay with that 9.8-9.9 that u have... Talk to big boyz and have ur heads done it's 300$...after that I say call it done after the heads I don't think ur going to see much difference... I hate wasting money u already have a cam and a good one spend money else where
