We've been boring to 98" since 2006 here.
If staying with an 88" an S&S .509 is one of the good cams for those.

Came out of a Stop light up in NH last Saturday Night, Johnny Law said he got me at 86 in 3rd Gear. (in a 40mph zone) Let's just say all are hard work paid off Scott, He was more than impressed. We spent sometime Jaw yakking on the side of the road, ends up he has a 117" he likes to unleash him self every now and then.

Its gotta Be high 40's low 50's mpg, I have that skull LED gauge so hard to tell. But I can hit the Kancamagos highway and back on a tank. That's 114 miles each way so good, Bad or ugly... I'm Happy

If torque is what you want with stock bore then just do a good torque can like ss 551 or 583 ez start and a good 2 into 1. In a 05 u got the beehive springs so I would use them then do a 98 later on with head work.
