Default Straight stock about to modify--need thoughts

I've ridden by '05 FLHTI about 15,000 miles straight stock. Now I'm about to do some performance modifications. I'd appreciate some input from those who have gone before!

I am thinking about the following:

Exhaust: Either the Vance and Hines Pro HS 2 into 1 pipes or the Rinehart 2 into 1.

Intake: Either the SE stage 1 kit or the Ness Big Suckers.

Cams: SE 203 or 211's

Controller: Terry Components Terminal Velocity II.

Any comments and experiences, pro or con, would be appreciated. I hate spending bucks on the same thing twice!

Thanks.

buy some different cams....like the andrews 26 or 37's with gear drive of course...Kuryakn makes some nice grinds also...Curtis put the TW2G on his 88 and it made 84hp/91tq at the rear...put alot of 95 builds to shame, especially SE cam equiped

What cams do you recommend? The SE211 came from an article in the September 2005 issue of AIM. I have also considered the Crane HTC 300 or 310 and the Andrews TW 21, 26, 37 & 44. I just figured sticking with the performance H-D might be the best shot but, like I said, I don't know and am looking for some suggestions.

Thanks for the reply.

i liked both the Crane grinds...i settled on Andrews 37g's...those Kuryakn's were nice also...i hear Woods makes some great cams also...IMO, aftermarket does better than SE....dont go too big without cubes & headwork...26's are proven, TW2's proven, Woods are proven also, seen a Crane equipped bike that ran well...on the DIY forum there's lots of info on cams...youre other mods will be just fine

Don't waste your money on the 203's!

If your dead set on them, I'll have a used set this winter you can have for a six pack.
Andrews are proven, Woods are torque monsters and as Bryan stated, those cams thru Kuryakyn are designed by Mike Roland. And he knows a thing or two about HD performance. S&S has been in the HD performance game a long time and their stuff rocks too

Thanks for the input, Guys. Actually, I am thinking about putting off the cams and may just try the Rinehart 2-1 as it has the O2 port already built in. I'm comfortable installing that myself. Then I think I will take it to the stealer for the SE airbox and Stage I kit and download WITH the pipes already on so they will have to deal with that. Then I'm hoping the TVII finally comes out with a plug in module. Cams can wait another 5,000 miles.

Coming across South Dakota last month with a 35 mph crosswind made me want a little more torque when passing a semi and I don't give a s**t that my bagger ain't got 2 pipes for the trucker to admire when I get out of his slipstream!

Forget the cams unless you are looking to do a big bore. Best money would be a PCIII/ dyno tune/pipes/air.

Thanks for the input. I've had folks tell me not to go with the 95" as you can get more out of the 88" for the bucks so I'm going to stick with mods on the 88" EFI. No one has criticized my choice of pipes or air box (or waiting on the cams until I need a rebuild anyway). Any comments on the use of the Terry TVII?

Thanks again for the input. I wasted a lot of $$ on my last bike putting stuff on and then taking it back off again. That's what I'm trying to avoid this time around.

Ride safe.
