I have done numerous searches on here and practically read my service manual cover to cover and I still cannot figure out where my fuse box is located on my 1994 Electra Glide Classic.

My radio quit working the other night and I'm trying to see if it's just a blown fuse or something more serious. I have no lights or sound from it.

If anyone has knowledge of these older baggers, your insight would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure there a fuse on the back of the radio if not inline. Fuse panel I think is under one of the side cover. But I could be wrong on both. Give use more info on the radio does it just not work does it turn on etc

Radio doesn't turn on at all. It used to come on as soon as I turned the ignition on, but now nothing. I've tried manually turning it on and get nothing there either. I'm pretty sure it's a fuse issue, but again, I can't find the fuse box. I may pull the radio tomorrow to see if there's one on the back.

I've looked under both side panels and didn't find a fuse box. The only thing I can think of is its inside the fairing somewhere.

pull your headlight, you can get a look at back of radio and the fuse/ breaker panel

On mine there is no fuse box that I have found. If memory serves I think I saw an inline fuse behind the radio. As someone else said pull the headlight assy. You may find that to get to it you have to pull the outer fairing. That's not a huge job. Pull the windshield and there's 4 nuts inside of the outer fairing, two on each side. The wiring back there looks like it was planned by a five year old -- or like something I would do..

 

There are no fuses. Your bike has a row of circuit breakers on the top tree. They work by heating up, if there is an electrical fault, switching off that circuit, then they cool down and switch back on. If the fault persists they will keep switching off then back on. Your radio plainly doesn't get it's power from one of them, so trace the wiring either to find an in-line fuse, if there is one, or an electrical fault.

 

might be talking out my *** here, as I dont have a 94....but isn't the outer fairing similar to the 92? (with the big gauge pod/dash panel?)

when we rebuilt my buddies 92 ultra, there was indeed a small glass Buss fuse behind the headlight that controlled the radio. its SMALL (IIRC 1 or 1.5A)...he actually bought a new radio thinking he'd toasted it (well, insurance bought him a new radio....was "damaged...IE not working" after a little russian woman decided to make a U-turn right in front of him)


we didnt find it until we'd taken the outer fairing off, but it should be accessible from the headlight.
