Plugs don't look that bad. Can only be 2 things. Spark or gas. could have coil going bad, and drain the float bowl, let a a 1/4 pint out to clear the lines.

good carb cleaning might fix it up, go grab a kit and go through it quick with some chemtool, maybe just some crap in the main jet?

Plugs look good enough, they are not your problem. Do the simple cheap stuff first like draining your float bowl.

I'm guessing you have the CV carb.
Sounds like you need to rebuild the carb.
Make sure the rubber diaphragm on top is in good condition.

I added about 2/3 of a bottle of STP full fuel system cleaner to a tank of gas. That was about 2 months ago when my bike would sputter so bad, it just wouldn't go. Although pessimistic that it would produce any results, it sure did! I have not had one single issue since. It's a cheap first step to give a shot.

How old are your spark plug wires? (I replaced mine at 10 years old and 70,000 miles just on principle.)

If the sputter presents itself during a high load I'd be looking for a cracked spark plug, coil wire or bad coil itself.

If while going say 50 mph and you have a need to slowly speed up or maintain speed while going up an incline. This is when the ignition system is loaded the most. Opps say using 4th gear, 5th would be lugging the motor. This needs to be done just short of lugging the motor

Just a thought WP
