Default Looking fo a new ignition

My crane hi 4 is starting to give me intermittent problems. I'm thinking it's time to replace it , before it leaves me stranded. What's the best ignition deal today ? I would prefer to keep it a single fire . This is for a 113" evo on a 95 electra glide.
Thanks , Evan D.

The Ultima ignition is good and reasonably priced. Just don't use the Ultima coil in the kit.

+1 on that!! My Ultima coil lasted 33 miles but the module is working great.

How long did the Crane last and why not another one of them? Mine went out and I put in a new Crane one. I just like 'em for some reason.

The Crane ignition unit is now being made as an S&S part, according to a recent announcement on their website.

Too many posts about the Cranes failing, although mine lasted twelve years and I shorted a wire before it gave me any trouble. I might have bought another but the price was better on the Ultima so after seeing many good reviews I ordered one of those . I believe my Crane coil is still good . I ordered an Ultima for 155.00 with free shipping. My engine is an Ultima also and after beating the **** out of it for a dozen years I am very happy with it !
Thanks for all the input , Evan D.

the new crane ignition does not have an american flag next to it in the aftermarket parts books we have, and had a dozen fail, sold about 40 of them ( some guys have to have them ) - sell lots of ignitions and the ultima is in all the bikes i own that it fits in but not the coil we use them for the brass nuts and lock washers that come on them as they are more valuable to us

It's a 113" I had it on a homebuilt rigid for 11 years then freshened the top end , new lifters, then installed it on a 95 electra glide . Hoping to get many more years out of her.
