Default Needle jet problem

I rebuilt my carb and the results were not good. Did some research and I realized that I have the needle jet in upside down. I am going to take it apart today but I remember that I could only get it to fit one way. Is it a super tight fit to put it in the right way? I don't want to force it and damage it. Any tips?

If anybody needs a vacuum valve diaphragm let me know. I ordered one before I took the carb apart, but when I took it apart the slide was burnt and melted so I replaced the whole thing. Let me know and you can have it for free.

Should slide right in with minimum effort. You might try cleaning any varnish that may have built up in the area.

The third time is the charm! Getting real good at taking the carb on and off the bike. This time I tried using the needle as a guide and the jet fell right into place. Used the CV performance kit and a rebuild kit and went from a 200 main to a 185, and a 48 secondary to a 46. Sounds real good, but I want to put in new plugs and wires and test ride it. Idle is better; I no longer have to leave the choke on forever to keep it running, and no more popping.
