This is my first post. I've been reading as much as I can from previous posts in the evo section. I have browsed the other sections, but I have to agree with factorybuilt and everyone who has commented here - this is the place to learn from those who know. Thanks for all of the wisdom.
I had to google Grom just to see what yall were talking about. Now I have seen it and I still don't know!!!! What is that weird bracket hanging off the back really good for? Is it just me or is the front tire smaller than the back one??
Tires are the same size. As far as the bracket goes, I think you're referring to the license plate bracket/fender and they make fender eliminator kits for them to clean them up.
Think Honda trail 90 modernized.

Thank God because that thing is fugly!!!
It may look better in person (I don't see how it could look worse) than it did in the pictures I saw.
I hope your wife enjoys that thing but I doubt it will be a year before she wants something bigger!!!

she probably will but being 5'1/4" tall and the fact that she has only rode a dirt bike a time or two and that was 17 years ago, I wanted something that the size, weight and power weren't going to be to much for her. If this ugly thing helps give her the confidence to move up to a bigger bike then I'm happy with it.

FWIW I was talking about the rear bracket not the whole bike.
I hope she has an enjoyable and safe time on that bike.
Dr.Linda only had dirt bike experience and was 98 lbs. I got her an iron head Sportster, which she road. Then the 883, which she has put >50K miles on.
