Aren't many EVOs left that haven't needed, or still need, a fair amount of wrenching; time and mileage catches up with the best of them. With all the way better aftermarket goodies available, lot of guys are getting those, and a lot (most? all?) Harley dealers won't install them. Tends to attract more folks that aren't afraid to dig into their own machines, I think.
Folks that rely on the dealer, or get a new bike before they might have to worry about replacing a drive belt, probably never learn much about how things work on their bikes. Still a lot of good twinkie mechanics, though. That's good, 'cause I sure ain't gonna work on one.
How do you do that? By adding granulated cast iron to the oil so it forms the rings in place after pouring in?
He was just talking about carbon fiber, and being able to do amazing things with it, thats my guess and new rings seem like a breeze compared to boarding a plane nowadays...
