My '91 Ultra has original brakes and they work OK, but not impressively, so I'd like to upgrade them a bit. I'm interested in converting from the original singlepiston front calipers to the later 2000 and up twopiston type. There are aftermarket caliper adapter brackets available for this swap, but I'm not sure if the original master cylinder will operate them with the correct pressure or what other considerations there might be.
Has anyone done this modification orknow where I could get more information on it?
Before you get into any major modifications to the brakes, I would try a set of Lyndall brake pads. They improve breaking drastically and I'm sure there will be many responses here to backthat up.
