Default Thinking stage

I have looked at the w9 and dyno charts with it and just might do that but I would like to hear from EV 57 users as well along with their build info to get the whole picture. I am running 10.8:1 currently. would i need to step that up a tick or 2?

Darn.....all that for a few more hp? Your numbers look very impressive as they stand already...would you really feel it?

I think you should start over! I'll swap bikes with you, mine's already apart for a cam swap so It'll give you a good head start on a new build! Great idea for you right?

Default stuck on it....,

I know what you all are saying and appreciate it but when I did this build I really, really, reeeaaally wanted to achieve the 100's Mark. I know it sounds silly but now it's stuck in my head......and I don't think I would be truly happy till it is.....lol

If you are looking to get an extra 3 out of it, maybe an easy place to start looking would be your exhaust

I would not disassemble my engine for a lousy 3 hp. A hot day vs a a cold day is worth 3 hp.

It will be amazing what 3 Hp will cost you, not preaching against it but 80" runs into limits like hooked up with a pornstar using average tools.

Cam change, head shaving for compression bump, engine tear down is one direction. Gambling on a exhaust at $500 a pop is a direction, finding someone with a happy dyno is a direction and down deep feel sorrow for your addiction. Going to list my secrets below on how to get over the hump.

Get a side job paying cash so money can be hid
Locate a good buy on a larger cube engine 113"-127"
Have the larger engine delivered to your work place
Insert the engine in a garbage can to get it past your wife
Tear down a large perfect running engine to make it faster
Send the heads to a professional engine porter plus bore the carb
Sell a kidney to purchase all parts needed to compliment or hold the power
Remember to always push to compression releases or will be stranded
Extra fuel cell in the saddle bag

This is my recipe for horsepower and why It was mentioned I feel sorrow for you as the White Bike was in the 110 hp range until the need for 140-150 hp was needed to feed a sick addiction, the extra 3 horsepower is going to get worse than you can ever imagine.

Wise words! That phone call to Scott could be the vital link.

I ran a EV57 in my 80" for years, but it's hard to say it'll help you. My motor was lower comp (9:1 with .030 shaved heads) and probably not as much head work.

With my new rebuild I'm still using the 57, but the heads have been reworked and the comp raised to 10:1.

The only issue is finding a good 57. Andrews replaced it with the EV59. You can find them on eBay from time to time though.
