Did you check out the chart I posted in the other thread. It will help you out a little along with the feedback you get here. I think the W8 is more inline with the ev46 and the w8 would be compared to that and the evl5010
I ran the SE-11 with 10.5:1 CR with excellent results. Plenty of low to mid range torque and she didn't get winded at 6k RPM. The cam works with your stock valve springs so headwork is not required if running stock heads.
I did check that out and am familiar with the 2 different grinds but I guess what I'm really asking it's will the EV 57 produce more hp and tq than the W-8? I currently have the a W-8 build that got me to 97/97 actual but my goal was 100/100 and I fell a little short. So do you think the EV 57 would get me There? I really would like to reach that class....thanx..
As with everything it depends....
your '98 a fuelie or carburated -
What heads are you runniing -
What is your cylinder bore -
What Compression ratio are your pistons -
What is your current carb or Throttle Body bore -
They are pretty impressive numbers. Did you use a tuning shop/builder to get to those? If so go and have a chat with them. You might be able to squeeze that little extra on the dyno, or with some careful adaptation of what you currently have.
Yeah this time I had Scott do it. He's always done the machining but this time I had him do the whole thing. I just didn't want to bother him. He's pretty busy and I don't want to be a pain..... in the a$$......
Well you went to the top! Ain't much that most of us can add I suspect. It would still be worth giving him a call to see if he can offer any tips on getting that little bit extra!
