I think all auto engines have roller lifters or cam followers these days.
Many OHC engines use the bucket design cam follower - this is a sliding interface, the same as the old flat tappet. Ford actually moved away from the roller rocker / lash adjuster combination, used in the OHC modular engine, to the bucket design on the new "fox" series of engines. Still plenty of sliding interfaces in modern IC engines.
No comment on ZDDP, it shouldn't even be in the evo forum, there is an oil section on the board for people to argue about lubricants...
I was pertaining to roller rockers cuz the lifters do have them, valve stems would like a little oil that already contains zinc in it as does the Valvoline that I use. Not talking about additives or gettin ****. I got yur Francis RIGHT HERE !!!
Just trying to help a brother!
Respect is something earned
So is disrespect ,that I did not earn
This forum reminds me of when I hung with harley riders on my Honda.
Totally my bad for posting in evo, shame on me for not assisting the Twinkie owners.

Like I said in another post, screw the nitrogen go for the nitrous oxide so after you break down you can huff on the tires and laugh off your problems!!!
I imagine it'e even more important on a air cooled motor. I found a case off Pennzoil 20/50 for MC online. $60. no one carries it locally. Makes sense to me. Thanx for the heads up.....
