Type F ATF, or Shell Rotella T is what I use. Theortically, any engine oil that is JASO-MA approved for a wet cluch that is under 50w will work in your primary. In my opinion, the Formula + is too thick for the primary and too thin for the transmission.

Same here. Automatic transmissions are chock full of wet clutches.

and yet again, only gear oil in the trans.
Don't fall for the MOCO pitch that their overpriced products are the best.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

Yeah but he never said what oil his friend used.
If his friend had it done at the Harley shop I bet he doesn't know for sure either.
FWIW Amsoil says you can use their 20w-50 in all three holes.
I don't recommend it either.

Don't ride much do ya???
Mostly oil is a personal choice and you will get a vast number of differing opinions.
IMO Harley stuff is overpriced but what the hell if you like it run it.

Exactly what kind of Evo was made in 2003? I don't recall that model. I think it might have been a TWINKIE.
I run Mobil 1 ATF in my primary.
