Put the E3 on the back about 3 weeks ago, (the HD Dunlop was so wore out, anything was better). Seems to be OK so far.

Currently getting the E3 put on the front, (2 flats in 4 days), had the HD Dunlop on the front. Wanted them to match.

I've used mostly Avons on my Harleys since the '70s, but all the major tyre brands make suitable tyres for us and each has their champions on HDF!

I have had a good run out of Metzeler 880s on other bikes so just bought one for the rear of the RK. I like the way they handle, grip and last.

I run a Metzler on the front and sometimes on the back. I have a Dunlop on the back now to get a few more miles out of a set. Can't beat a Metzler on the front for handling and rain grooves. I have put Metzler sport bike tires front and back before. Fantastic grip, but don't last too long on a big heavy dresser. I have one of the touring tires on the front now.

Michelin Commander II's, PERIOD! Twice the mileage of ANY Dunlop, Metzeler, Avon or Bridgestones. This is from over 350,000 miles on the same bike with EVERY possible combination. Commander II's are THE best thing you can put on your Harley FL other than Kuryakyn grips. Easy 17,000 miles on the rear and 25,000 on the front, rain or dry!

Joe, that's an impressive record! Can't be many bikes of any brand with that mileage on them. Have you posted pics of your bike for us?

I switched from Metzler 880's to Michelin Commander II's. I am happier with the Commander II's....
