Default New Tires

OK, somebody tell me which tires are good for my 1996 Ultra Classic, the last two rear tires and the one front tire has been the Dunlap HD tires, I would like to try a different brand this time. Stock size.

I run Metzler, have for over thirty years. I may try Avon next. Some like the Dumlop E3.

Michelin Commander 2's. Dunlops were on the bike when I bought it and hated them. These Commanders are great and stick like "poo" to a blanket on the road, even with an inch of water flowing across it!

Dunlop HD tires are crap!!!! Almost anything else is better.
Since Dunlop got rid of their Elite II series I will be going with their American Elites next time.

I like Dunlop because they are American made.

I got amazing mileage out of a Metz 888. Nearly 17k. Nice and sticky too. And I don't ride it like a road sofa....

I went from the Metzler 880's to the Dunlop American Elite this season. The Metzler gave me 11,500 with a lot of two up riding. I am hoping the AE's do better.

I ran Michelin Pilot Road 3's on my Triumph Sprint and loved them. They stuck like glue in any weather. Sadly they don't make them for my Dyna.
The Dyna had new Avon's on it when I bought it and so far I am really liking them. They have a similar tread pattern to the PR3's and seem to stick well. I haven't ridden in the rain yet so I can't speak on that.

The stock Dunlop D402s weren't the greatest...hard and not sticky enough. I put a Dunlop American Elite on the front and it grips a heck of a lot better.
