Evo Therapy
I tore a muscle in my right calf at my martial arts class a week ago Saturday. Nasty injury. Gonna be some months before I'm back in action.
Standard treatment for these is lots of ice, as much ibuprofen as you need, as much stretching as you can endure, and massage to minimize scar tissue build up.
Here's the cool part: I've discovered that spending time on the FXR is absolutely perfect for it. I can position my leg up against the air cleaner and the magic Harley vibrations are just what the doctor ordered. After a nice ride, I am pain free for an hour and can even walk without a limp for a while.
I've mentioned before that I've never been much on riding for its own sake. I'm generally only out when I have somewhere to go. But this injury has changed that. I put 200 miles under me today over three different rides just to massage my leg.
Is there anything Evos can't do?

Not directly related, but fill your bath tub with hot water and dissolve two or three cups of Epsom salt in it. Get in and soak for two or three hours. It will work wonders. Grab a book or your iPad to pass the time while soaking.
I had a tree hit me in the leg. It's complicated. Anyway, it tore my right great saphenous vein giving me a hematoma (giant blood blister) of about 4x3x2 inches, below my left knee. Sure hope I never need that for a cardiac bypass, 'cuz that's the one they use. Anyway, the best thing for it, that is, the thing that made it finally heal up the most was a 2000 mile road trip to Sturgis and back. The vibration of the S&S air cleaner against the hematoma broke it up and resolved it.
